Gay couple win right to wed in Argentina

ABC News reports that Alejandro Freyre and Jose Maria Di Bello have been granted a marriage licence in Buenos Aires after a judge ruled that a ban on same-sex marriages was unconstitutional.
The couple sued after being denied a marriage licence in April and last week the judge ruled that laws limiting marriage to male-female couples were unconstitutional.
The men will enjoy the same rights as heterosexual married couples, but the judge’s decision does not set a precedent beyond this case.
The two men are HIV positive and say they will marry on December 1, which is World Aids Day.
